Le Porciglia

The main house spreads across two floors. On the ground floor you will find a generous sitting room with fireplace that opens onto a terrace with herb garden, a vaulted kitchen with dining area, a cloakroom, laundry and walk-in wardrobe. Upstairs there are two master bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom, one with a fireplace and panoramic terrace. A further double bedroom and a room with two sets of bunk beds complete the sleeping arrangements, along with a bathroom fitted with a Jacuzzi bath.

Beyond the main house, a pool guest house offers an open-plan room with sitting area, double bed, en suite shower and its own kitchen. A separate extra suite adds another double bedroom with sitting room, kitchen and en suite bathroom. Outside, a shaded portico and a large terrace table invite long lunches, while the beautifully kept garden surrounds a 14 by 7 metre infinity-edge swimming pool. All bedrooms have air conditioning, and Wi-Fi runs throughout.

The location works well for exploring Tuscany at your own pace. San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Siena are each around 30 kilometres away, Florence roughly an hour by car, and the coast about ninety minutes. Closer to home, Colle Val d'Elsa is a fine destination for food lovers, with traditional restaurants nearby and a two-Michelin-star restaurant just ten kilometres from the door. Plenty of wineries and villages dot the surrounding hills too.
