About Val d’Isère

Val d’Isère’s story started around the church in the Old Village, where stone chalets and cobbled lanes preserve a sense of history. The centre buzzes with cafés, shops, and restaurants, while Le Fornet offers mountain views and easy access to the glacier. Laisinant feels peaceful and residential, while La Daille is a favourite for quick lift access and high-speed runs. Wherever you stay, the free village bus keeps everything close.
Val d’Isère’s season stretches from late November to early May — one of the longest and most reliable in the Alps. December brings new snow and the energy of a new season, followed by the busy Christmas and New Year weeks. January and early February are quieter, with great conditions and flexibility on length of stay. March offers longer days and excellent snow, while April rewards those who come late: fewer crowds, amazing snow and some of the best skiing of the season.
