Farmhouse meets barn among olive groves
Tucked into the gentle hills between Lucca and the Versilia coast, Bottino offers a thoughtfully restored Tuscan retreat where traditional farmhouse charm meets practical comfort. This property comprises two separate buildings set amongst olive groves, providing space for ten guests who value both togetherness and privacy. The location proves particularly convenient for exploring Tuscany's cultural treasures, with Florence, Pisa and Siena all within comfortable reach.

Description
The main farmhouse accommodates six guests across well-appointed bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom . A fully equipped kitchen and sitting room provide comfortable gathering spaces. The converted barn houses four additional guests with similar amenities, including its own kitchen and sitting room. Three beds throughout the property can be arranged as doubles or twins, offering flexibility for different group configurations. Every bedroom is fitted with a ceiling fan for added comfort during warmer days. Both buildings maintain their rustic character whilst providing reliable wifi and modern conveniences.
Outside, a grey-toned pool integrates naturally into the landscape, with optional fencing available for those travelling with children. Two substantial dining areas invite al fresco meals, one positioned near the pool and another by the main house. The terraced gardens feature multiple seating areas amongst the olive trees, while a bocce court adds an element of traditional Italian leisure. These outdoor spaces extend the living areas considerably, making the most of Tuscany's favourable climate.
The surrounding area balances accessibility with rural tranquillity. The nearby Apennines and Apuan Alps provide hiking opportunities, with an equestrian centre close by for those interested in horseback riding. Day trips to art cities, hilltop villages or the Versilia beaches remain easy options, whilst the property itself offers plenty of reasons to stay put. Local restaurants dot the nearby villages, though the well-equipped kitchens make self-catering equally appealing for those who prefer to shop at local markets and cook with regional ingredients.
