Casa Rossa

The main house sleeps ten across five bedrooms. A spacious covered veranda serves as the heart of outdoor living, furnished with sofas, chaise longues and a dining table surrounded by wild vegetation. The kitchen opens to this veranda, making meal preparation part of the social experience. Throughout the interiors, you'll find an eclectic mix of furniture that tells its own story.

For larger groups, two annexes can be opened to provide additional accommodation while maintaining privacy for everyone. The grounds are partially enclosed with electric fencing to keep wild boars at bay, a practical measure that preserves the natural setting. A barbecue and wood oven add to the outdoor cooking options, while the pool area offers another gathering spot.

Lake Bolsena itself remains wonderfully unspoiled, with crystal-clear waters and small fishing villages dotting its shores. The recently reopened Bisentina Island makes for an intriguing day trip, while the flat roads circling the lake suit both casual and serious cyclists. Within walking distance you'll find a local restaurant, with more dining options in nearby villages. Day trips to Orvieto's cathedral, the medieval towns of Sorano and Pitigliano, or into Tuscany are all easily managed from this central location.
