La Fonte

The ground floor centres around a large sitting room with billiard table and French doors that open to the garden. A dining room features an open fireplace, while the kitchen comes fully equipped for preparing meals with local produce. Four bedrooms occupy the first floor, comprising two doubles and two twins, one particularly suited to children. A bathroom with shower serves each level of the house.

Outside, the garden extends across several levels with distinct areas for different moods. A covered loggia provides shade for lunch, while a second dining space includes a built-in barbecue and oven. The 15m x 7m swimming pool occupies the most panoramic spot in the garden, where you can float whilst taking in views across the hills. The grounds are enclosed and well-maintained, making them ideal for families.

From here, Tuscany opens up in every direction. Florence lies 40 minutes by car, while San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo are even closer. The nearest motorway exit is just 20 minutes away. Palaia itself produces sought-after white truffles in autumn, and several restaurants nearby serve traditional Tuscan dishes. Whether you spend days exploring hill towns or simply moving between pool and pergola, La Fonte provides a comfortable retreat.
