Le Pergole
A working wine estate in the Luccan hills, where you can taste the wines made from the vines outside your window. Five bedrooms across two buildings offer space and privacy for ten guests.
Wine Estate in the Luccan Hills
Le Pergole rests among the vine-covered slopes of north-west Lucca, where a working estate produces its own wines, olive oil, honey and pasta. This Tuscan villa accommodates ten guests across five bedrooms split between the main house and a separate dependence. The property sits just 5km from Lucca's medieval walls, with the Versilia coast 28km away and both Florence and Pisa within comfortable reach for day trips.

Description
The main house spreads across two floors, with one bedroom on the ground level and three more upstairs, each with its own bathroom. The three bedrooms on the first floor are all equipped with air-conditioning for added comfort. Traditional cotto floors and beamed ceilings frame the living spaces, while air conditioning and satellite TV add practical comfort. The kitchen comes fully equipped for preparing meals with local ingredients. The separate dependence contains the fifth air-conditioned bedroom and features a built-in barbecue, ideal for grilling fresh produce from nearby markets.
Outside, the fenced 11x5 metre swimming pool enjoys views across the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. A covered pergola provides shade for outdoor dining, while the pool area offers plenty of space for lounging between swims. The estate setting means you can arrange wine tastings on-site or purchase bottles directly from the producers. A local restaurant lies within walking distance when you prefer to leave the cooking to someone else.
Mornings might start with a drive into Lucca to explore its Renaissance churches and tree-topped ramparts. The Versilia beaches make for an easy afternoon escape, or you could venture further to discover hilltop villages throughout the region. Back at the villa, evenings settle into a gentle rhythm of poolside aperitifs and dinner beneath the pergola, with the valley spreading out below. The estate's own wines pair perfectly with simple Tuscan fare, whether grilled at the dependence or prepared in the main kitchen.
