Le Savoie is a fifth-floor penthouse in the middle of Val d'Isère, its terrace facing the Olympic piste. Double-height windows and heavy old beams frame the mountains from the living room. Four double bedrooms, each en-suite, and a bunk corner for two.

The terrace looks straight across to the Olympic piste, and on the nights of the torchlight descent you watch the skiers come down it in the dark. Behind you, huge old beams cross a living room glazed to its full height, the mountains standing in the windows. This is a penthouse in the middle of the village, five floors up. Four double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a bunk corner for the children.
Description
The living room is where everyone gathers, sofas turned to the view and a fireplace for after the skiing. A games table sits to one side. The kitchen is open to the room, a long dining table under the beams. The four bedrooms are doubles, each with its own bathroom, most set as a king or twins, and a mountain corner with two bunks takes the children.
The kitchen runs along one side of the room, an island at its centre, ceramic hobs and a full run of appliances with a Nespresso machine, and raclette, fondue and pierrade kit in the drawer. A ski locker and boot warmers sit by the door, with skis fitted at the apartment rather than in a queue at a shop. A garage keeps the cars off the street. A lift runs up to the fifth floor.
Everything is on the doorstep in the middle of the village, the shops, restaurants and bars, with 300 kilometres of the Espace Killy from the door. Le Savoie comes on the Comfort package: a private concierge, a welcome basket, beds made and firewood in, and ski equipment fitted at the apartment. Breakfasts and dinners cooked by the chefs can be added. Winter stays run Saturday to Saturday, late November to early May, open again in July and August.
