San Tommaso
A secluded Tuscan hillside home where panoramic views stretch across the countryside. Six bedrooms spread over three floors offer privacy for groups, while the terrace and pool invite long afternoons together.
Tuscan Hills with a Romanic Church beside you
San Tommaso stands on a quiet hillside north-west of Lucca, where panoramic views stretch across the Tuscan landscape. This recently restored country home takes its name from the small Romanesque church next door, which opens just once yearly for its patron saint's celebration. From the terrace dining table to the newly built swimming pool, each vantage point frames the surrounding hills perfectly.

Description
The ground floor welcomes you with an unusually spacious master bedroom that includes its own sitting area and en-suite bathroom. Two more bedrooms occupy the first floor, one featuring a bathroom with both bathtub and shower, the other with a private shower room. Smart televisions, wifi throughout, and heating on both ground and first floors ensure modern comfort meets traditional architecture.
The second floor houses three additional bedrooms - one double with an en-suite bathroom and a double and twin bedrooms sharing a bathroom, plus a second kitchen and sitting room where groups can gather. This thoughtful layout works particularly well for friends travelling together, offering communal spaces alongside private retreats. A large American fridge anchors the main kitchen, while careful restoration has preserved original character throughout.
Ten minutes by car brings you to the nearest village with its supermarket, bar, ATM and simple restaurants. Lucca's historic centre lies 25 minutes away, while both Versilia's beaches and motorway access are within half an hour's drive. The caretaker lives discreetly at the rear with separate access, available when needed. Cooking services can be arranged for those wanting to focus entirely on the Tuscan experience.
