Villa Clara
An 18th-century manor villa with private chapel and formal park, just 5km from Lucca's walled city. Ten bedrooms welcome groups while dedicated staff and a gated pool complete this Tuscan estate.
Eighteenth-Century manor Embracing Twenty
Just five kilometres from Lucca's ancient walls, Villa Clara occupies an 18th-century manor house where formal gardens meet the practical needs of modern gatherings. The estate accommodates up to 20 guests across ten bedrooms, each fitted with air conditioning for Tuscan summers. A private chapel punctuates the grounds, while the location keeps you close to shops and motorway access for day trips across the region. Villa Clara is especially popular for group stays and retreats, offering the option to rent a beautifully restored yoga and conference room.

Description
Eight of the ten bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, with the remaining two sharing facilities on the first floor, a practical arrangement for families with children. The villa's on-site staff can prepare meals throughout your stay, from breakfast through dinner, letting you focus on time with your group rather than kitchen duties. The well-equipped kitchen remains available for those who prefer self-catering between staff-prepared meals.
Outside, a pergola shades the dining table where groups gather for meals in the garden. The 18x8m swimming pool sits behind gates, useful for those travelling with young children who need secure boundaries. An external room suited to yoga sessions or meetings can be arranged for groups needing dedicated workspace. The manicured grounds provide plenty of corners for reading or conversation away from the main gathering areas.
Days here might start with a drive into Lucca's pedestrian centre, followed by afternoon visits to local wineries or the Versilia coastline. Florence's museums and galleries sit within reach for cultural excursions, while the wild Maremma region offers hiking for those seeking nature. The villa can be scaled down to accommodate 12 guests (the bedrooms on the second floor will be closed), or expanded by adding Casa Rosa on the same estate for groups needing space for up to 32 people total.
