Outside, the 14-by-7-metre pool provides welcome relief during warm afternoons. The gardens bloom with roses, lavender and rosemary, while a private vegetable patch supplies fresh produce. Multiple terraces offer spots for outdoor dining with views across to Monte Amiata. Mary, the resident housekeeper, assists with cooking and daily needs, making stays here particularly smooth. Small pets are welcome, though two resident cats roam the outdoor areas.

From here, you can walk to the Argiano winery for tastings or venture further to explore Pienza, Montepulciano and the thermal waters of Bagno Vignone. Siena lies within easy reach for day trips, while Florence, Cortona and Arezzo make rewarding excursions.
