Cala Bassa Beach Club, or CBbC, is not one restaurant but a group of them spread along Cala Bassa on the west coast, with the sunbed operation on the sand between. It covers most of the beach, which means you can arrive without a plan and still find the kind of lunch you wanted.
That scale is the difference from the smaller beach clubs. It is busy, it works for a family as well as a group, and it is one of the few places on the island where those two can share a day without compromise.
What is there
Several kitchens with different menus along the beach, bars, sunbeds and parasols in rows on the sand, and music that stays at a level you can talk over for most of the day.
Behind the sand there is a large pine wood, which gives real shade, and that is worth knowing in August when very little else on this coast does.
Getting there

By road it is about fifteen minutes from San Antonio and forty from Ibiza Town, with a large car park behind the beach.
The better way is the boat. Ferries run from San Antonio through the season and land you on the beach itself, which takes the parking problem away entirely and is the more enjoyable arrival.
When to come

The beach faces west, so the light is at its best in the afternoon and the water is warmest late in the day. It fills from late morning in high summer and the sunbeds go first.
Booking a table is sensible in July and August. Sunbeds are first come.
