Cova Santa: dinner in a cave, then the garden

Oct 9, 2026Author: One of a Kind Travel2 min

A restaurant, a garden and an open-air club built around a natural cave in the hills, running May to October.

Cova Santa is built around a natural cave in the hills off the San Jose road, inland from the south coast. There is a restaurant, a garden lounge under the trees and an open-air dancefloor, and the evening moves between them rather than staying in one.

The cave itself is the room people remember. It is used for parts of the programme and it does things to sound that a purpose-built club cannot.

How the evening works

Dinner from around half past eight, then the music. Booking a table for dinner usually carries entry to that night's session, which is the civilised way in and avoids a queue.

The club side starts in the late afternoon on some dates and runs into the night.

The 2026 season

Opened on 2 May and closed on 9 October. Like everything else on the island it works to the season rather than the calendar, and the dates move a little each year.

Good to know

It is rural and the road is dark. Sort the journey back before you go out, because taxis do not pass.

It is inland, about fifteen minutes from the south coast beaches and twenty from Ibiza Town.

Dinner is the cheap way in, and it is also the better evening.
