Es Torrent is on the sand of a small cove between Porroig and Sa Caixota. It cooks the island's own fish dishes: bullit de peix, caldereta, seafood fideua and whatever came in whole.
It is best known for how people arrive. The restaurant runs its own tender out to boats anchored in the bay, brings diners in, and takes them back afterwards. For anyone on the water that afternoon it is the obvious lunch on this coast.
Arriving by road
There is road access down a narrow lane at the end, and it works perfectly well, though the cove is small and the parking with it.
The restaurant also runs a minibus that drops diners back at their accommodation, which solves the problem of a long lunch with wine.
What to order

Bullit de peix, if there are two or more of you and you have the afternoon. It arrives in two courses, the fish and potatoes first and then rice cooked in the broth, and it takes time.
Otherwise the caldereta, or whole fish off the grill.
The 2026 season

24 April to 25 October, and shut from November until Easter. Through the shoulder months at either end of that it is closed on Wednesdays, so an April or October visit is the one to check.
