Kaixo is on Avinguda Bartomeu Rossello, a couple of streets off Vara de Rey in Ibiza Town. It opened in 2018 and it does Basque bar food: pintxos on the counter, txuleton off the grill, squid sauteed hard and fast, and a short wine list.
It is open all year, which puts it in a small group on this island.
What to know
There is no terrace. It is an indoor bar, and people expecting Ibiza Town street seating are sometimes surprised. In August that is an advantage rather than otherwise.
It is accessible, step-free and set up for reduced mobility, which is worth saying because much of the old town is not.
Pets are allowed.
How to eat there
Stand at the bar and take pintxos from the counter, or sit and order from the kitchen. The txuleton is for two and arrives on the bone.
It is a bar first, so this works as a first stop rather than a whole evening.
